I played Halo 2 and I am disappointed. This game has been in development for over 3 years and has this annoyingly visible bug. For example: When watching the in game cinematics and the camera angle switches, there is a very noticable 1 second time period where you see everything in its polygonal form with basic textures before it “snaps” to full resolution texture with bump mapping. It’s quite distracting from the otherwise poor storyline. This bug also occurs in game!

For a game that has been hyped up this much and under development for this long is completely unacceptable and is inexcusable.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who noticed this.. it’s an unbelievably poor bug and ruins so much suspension of disbelief needed to enjoy this half-finished game.

It’s not a bug, xbox has only 64Mb RAM and for that texture quality developers decied to stream texture directly from DVD thats why for the little gap, this info rmation is taken from bungie.net.

Developers of PC games have to work hard to make sure their code runs on all types of PC configurations. Here, the developers know EXACTLY what their code is running on. It’s almost as if they decided not test their product.

That is why when they develop HALO 3 it will be on the next generation XBOX console so that the texture quality runs more smoothly and possiblly increase gameplay threefold.

After reading your comments, I know that I am not the only one who noticed some of the flaws in HALO 2, but comparing to other XBOX games, its still a good game, but not as good as the original.
